Don’t Be a Sink Drop-Out™
Most sink failures don’t happen suddenly — they fail slowly.
After hurricane season and fast renovations across St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and the greater Tampa Bay area, sink supports are often overlooked.
What starts as a small gap or slight movement can quietly worsen over time, eventually leading to a sink failure that’s messy, stressful, and expensive to fix.
At I Love My Sink, we specialize exclusively in sink support systems throughout Pinellas County and Hillsborough County.
Not plumbing. Not drains. Just making sure your sink is properly supported and safe.
The Problem You Can’t See From Above
Undermount sinks rely on hidden support systems inside the cabinet. When those supports fail, the warning signs often show up long before the sink actually drops out. These are easy to miss — until they’re not.

What Is a Sink Drop-Out?
A sink drop-out occurs when the support system holding an undermount sink begins to fail.
This usually happens gradually due to:
- Improper or rushed installation
- Cabinet movement over time
- Moisture exposure
- Adhesive or bracket failure
- Post-renovation shortcuts
By the time a sink actually falls, the damage is often far greater than it needed to be.
Common Warning Signs
If you notice any of the following, it may be time for an inspection:
- Gaps between the sink and countertop
- Sink movement or flexing
- Creaking or popping sounds
- Temporary shims or props under the sink
- Water damage or swelling inside the cabinet
These signs don’t always mean failure is imminent — but they do mean it’s worth taking a closer look.

A Quick Note on What We Do (and Don’t Do)
We’re not plumbers — and that’s intentional.
I Love My Sink specializes in new sink installations, remounts, and sink support systems only. We don’t work on pipes, drains, or plumbing repairs.
Our role is to ensure your sink is properly installed and supported for long-term safety, performance, and peace of mind.
